An Oil Service Company In the field of Environmental Management requires on experienced and high performing professional to join her team.

Position: OPERATIONS MANAGER
Location: Rivers State, Nigeria

Responsibilities
• Implement all operations activities including contract scope execution to capture and discharge all contractual obligations, logistics, project support, oversight of field based personnel and treatment plant.
• Achieve optimum utilization, effectiveness and efficiency of all company resources to meet business goals.
• Define operational objectives and policies, performance metrics, project frame work, controls and risk management.
• Drive the operations strategy and daily operations of company
• Prepare and submit performance and progress reports on each project to the General Manager and/ or the Managing Director.
• Liaise with QHSE deportment to enforce company and statutory HSE standards and requirements in minimizing loss and risk to personnel and assets.
• Ensure that all company facilities, associated equipment and materials are of proper design and ore operated maintained to maximize risk to health, safety and the environment
• Enforce budget implementation operations department.

Qualification
• First degree in Engineering with project management certification
• A Minimum of 10 years relevant experience within the environmental or associated industry, 5 years of which must be in planning and project management
• Professional affiliations with a recognized professional Engineering body Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) would be an advantage.
• An MBA with focus on management will be an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies
• Must be conversant with operations which include waste management, vessel/boat tank cleaning, sludge treatment and waste water treatment
• Demonstrate leadership and vision in managing teams and major projects or initiatives.
• A leader who con drive performance and influence outcomes, develop and foster strong team spirit.
• Result oriented with high degree of drive, passion, self motivated, diligent and enthusiastic
• Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
• Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
