Oil & Gas Company Vacancies

An indigenous oil & gas company involved in the development of a field
in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria plans to develop its production
facilities consisting of an oil flow station and gas plant, oil and
gas flow lines, pipelines and water disposal system. Consequently,
there is an opportunity to grow with a new and dynamic company for
professionals required to fill the following vacant positions in the
Company:

GENERAL MANAGER- PLANT
(Ref.F1)
Will be responsible for the day to day management of the business and
the operations of the Central Oil and Gas Processing Facility and will
report to the Board of Directors.
Duties
• Implementation of Company's business goals as stipulated by the
Board and in the approved annual Operations and Maintenance Plan and
Budget;
• HSSE management systems, community relations and interface with
external, regulatory and government agencies
Qualifications
• A good university degree in any or combination of engineering,
technical, business or commercial disciplines:
• The candidate must have at least 15 years of verifiable experience
in the upstream E&P industry and at least 5 years in some leadership
role managing multi disciplinary !team of engineers, technical,
commercial and business support specialists.
• Must have well developed commercial, contracting and negotiation
skills, good understanding of general and statutory financial and
reporting requirements and use of common computer softwares and system

SENIOR HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (HSE) COORDINATOR
(Ref. F2)
The Senior HSE Coordinator will manage all aspects of HSE in the
business in accordance with industry best practice and will report to
the Managing Director.
Duties
• Develop HSE management systems, plans, safety cases, EIA assessment studies
• Implement, monitor, assess and improve the Corporate HSE MS
• Prepare reports and obtain statutory approvals locally and
internationally for all facets of the operations spanning drilling to
production operations.
• Supervise, mentor and train a team of line HSE professionals and engineers
Qualification
• A good technical background with an HND or degree in engineering or
science discipline and membership of relevant HSE Professional body
• A minimum of 10 years in HSSE practice with at least 5 years in
major oil and gas projects
• Good knowledge of HSE audit requirements and techniques including
HAZID/HAZOP/SAFOP
• Must be skilled in using the Microsoft Office suite of software.
Location: Akwa Ibom State but must be willing to work outside the
normal operational base.

MANAGER HR AND ADMIN
(Ref.F3)
The HR and Administration Manager will be responsible for the
formulation, updating and implementation of HR and General
Administration management system including policies, processes and
procedures and will report to the Managing Director.
Qualification
• Suitable candidate must be a university graduate with at least 10
years experience in a medium to large enterprise of which at least 3
years should be in E&P or oil and gas Service/ contracting company in
Nigeria.
• Candidate must be familiar with the full suite of Microsoft Office
software including PowerPoint, Excel and Words.
Location: Lagos but must be willing-to work outside the normal operational base.

SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER (PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS)
(Ref.F4)
Will report to Head, Supply Chain and be part of the team responsible
for procurement of materials including shipping, customs clearance,
local transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
Duties
Supply chain support to the venture and all projects; logistics and
fleet management, movement of goods and personnel including local and
international travels.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a university degree or HND plus membership of relevant
professional body.
• 5+ years post graduation experience with at least 2 years in oil and
gas production operations supply chain position
• Well developed computing skills including full suite of Microsoft
Office software such as power point, Excel and Words.
• Integrity, inter-personal skill, strong involvement and commitment
• Familiarity with current supply chain management, logistics and
procurement process

FIELD OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT
(Ref.F5)
The Candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance input
into the design, construction, commissioning, and hand over of
facilities to ensure operational readiness, maintainability of the
facilities, safe operation of assets and facilities to meet production
targets as well as statutory, fiscal and management reporting.
Qualifications
• The suitable candidate must have a technical background with an
engineering or science degree or HND with a minimum of 10 years
verifiable experience covering upstream oil & gas production
operations, maintenance, engineering, and HSE functions.
• Experience in gas production operations would be an advantage.
Skills
• Demonstrable and verifiable ability to manage operations and
maintenance and participation in E&P projects, HAZOP and project
reviews;
• Candidate must have well developed commercial, contracting and
negotiating skills;
• Use of Microsoft Windows Office and related software; and good
writing and presentation skills.
Work Location: Akwa Ibom State.

FIELD OPERATIONS CREW TEAM LEADERS
(Ref.6)
The Field Operations Crew Team Leader will coordinate, supervise and
provide general guidance and work direction to a Shift Field
Operations and Maintenance Crew of 4-5 technical personnel. The key
purpose of the crew is to ensure safe and cost effective operations
and maintenance of oil and gas plant and associated wells, delivery
and export flow lines, pipelines and custody transfer/fiscal
measurement systems of hydrocarbons to meet customer requirements and
agreed business objectives and annual operations and maintenance plan.
Qualification
• HND or relevant technical qualification and background with at least
6 years experience in E&P operations facilities.
Skills
• The candidate must have competence in multi-disciplinary operations
and maintenance in an oil & gas field activities with good leadership
and strong inter-personal skills;
• Ability to communicate effectively;
• Leading multi-disciplinary teams in a multi-cultural environment;
• Analytical mind and ability to apply constituent of managerial
system to asset (plan, execute, measure, review feedback) as well as
ability to work under pressure and long hours.

CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS
(Ref.7)
The Control Room Operator will monitor well heads and facilities and
control production facilities remotely from the control room and
participate as a member of oil and gas field operations crew in field
operations and first line maintenance activities. The job also
involves liaising with and reporting to relevant parties on real time
basis, assisting the Field 1 Operations Crew Team Leader to prepare
routine facilities performance and equipment run times and
availability data, adhering to HSSE policies, and operating
plant-safeguarding systems.
Qualification
• A minimum of OND in engineering discipline or City and Guilds
Certificate with at least 5 years experience in process operations as
a control room operator.
Skills
• The candidate must have excellent communication skills,
documentation skill and be highly experienced in oil & gas operations.
• Experience in gas plant control operations would be an advantage;
• Candidate must possess the ability to work with others in a field
based multi-discipline production team;
• Must be computer literate with the ability to use typically DCS or
PLC or SCADA based systems and the Microsoft windows office suite of
softwares

FIELD & GAS PLANT MECHANICAL (ROTATING & STATIC) EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS
(Ref.F8)
The candidate will work as a member of the production operation field
crew and provide mechanical (rotating and static) equipment technical
input to ensure that the field crew achieves the objective of
operating and maintaining an oil and gas processing plant, wells, flow
lines, and , pipelines safely. Candidate will also handle routine
first line maintenance work.
Qualification
A minimum of OND or City & Guilds Certificate in Mechanical
Engineering with at least 5 years related work experience in the oil &
gas industry.
Experience in gas production operations would be an advantage.
Skills
• Candidate must be familiar with oil field production equipment and
tools, mechanical codes and standards, area classification systems,
permit to work system, lockout and tag out procedures, maintenance job
routines.
• Must be computer literate with ability to download, upload
information to and from the field and computer and to analyse
information and data and use various types of mechanical hand and
bench tools, laser and dial gauge alignment techniques and ability t
work within a team environment of field based multi-discipline
production team.

ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN CREW MEMBERS
(Ref.F9)
The Candidate will be responsible for providing electrical & I
instrumentation technical input to ensure that the field crew achieves
the objective of operating and maintaining an oil & gas processing
plant. The job involves inspection of all electrical and
instrumentation / equipment, disassembly of electrical/instrument
equipment, skilled maintenance and repair work on a wide range of
field instruments to DCS I/Os, control valves, air operated valves,
vibration monitoring systems, electronic and mechanical governors, EDS
systems, level ! gauges, detection systems, gas monitoring and
detection systems, fire control systems, installation and repairs of
wiring systems, perform modifications as detailed in engineering
packages and good housekeeping.
Qualification
• A minimum of OND or City & Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Ii
Engineering with at least 5 years related work experience in the oil &
gas industry. Experience in gas production operations would be an
advantage.
Skills
• Candidate must be familiar with the use of various types of testing
equipment such as Wheatstone bridge, oscilloscopes, meters, meggers,
and hi-pot testers;
• Must be familiar with electrical codes, area classification systems,
permit to work system, lockout and tag out procedures, maintenance job
routines and ability to work within a team environment of field based
multi-discipline production team;
• Must be computer literate with ability to download, upload
information to and from the field and computer and to analyse
information and data

PRODUCTION OPERATIONS/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN CREW MEMBERS
(Ref.F10)
• The candidate will execute production operation and routine first
line maintenance activities to meet production and asset integrity
targets safely and cost effectively; collect/provide accurate data for
production performance, reservoir management and compliance.
Qualifications
• A minimum of OND with at least 5 years related work experience in
field production or maintenance operations within the oil & gas
industry .
• Experience in gas production operations would be an advantage.
Skill Level
• Ability to work with others in a field based multi-discipline production team
• Good documentation skill .
• Computer literacy with the ability to use typical plant DCS or PLC
based systems and the Microsoft windows office suite of softwares
